In 2008 I was on the City of Buena Park Charter committee. I was the only true LABOR person on that committee.For those that do not understand the differences between a charter city and a general law city besides more control for the citizens, under a Charter city you can LOSE Prevailing wages. The vote of the committee was 6 to 1. I was the hold out vote all I wanted was assure prevailing wage was written into the Charter. When then Labor showed up at the council meeting the vote was 5-o to send a ballot to the citizens with PREVAILING WAGE written into the charter.

WE WON!

Now its time!

Buena Park needs a councilman who is LABOR.

As a public employee for the last 20 years I understand how city governments work. Serving the citizens of Buena Park as a member of the Charter Committee, I heard your concerns about our city and want to follow through for you.
